PSBJ Innovation Awards 2017

The Puget Sound region has long been a hub for innovation.

This year we are introducing the Innovation Awards, a program that recognizes the companies that made extraordinary advances in their respective fields and challenged the norms.

While the program honors rocket scientists and medical researchers, it also looks beyond technical sciences. The categories for this year include: banking and finance, education, food and beverage, health care, nonprofits, professional services, real estate and construction, retail, travel and hospitality, technology and aerospace.

This year, we highlight innovations from companies large and small. Microsoft, for instance, is a winner in our real estate category for its incredibly innovative energy saving system at its Redmond campus. Small cider-maker Schilling is our winner in the food and beverage category, while a fast-growing tech startup backed by Bill Gates is our winner in the technology category.

The PSBJ reviewed a long list of nominated companies and chose one winner in each category. Winners will be celebrated during a luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the W Seattle.
